BIO
Alberto has been playing drums and percussion for over 15 years and he is a professional musician. He was born in Limassol, of Cyprus. Alberto started to develop his music education in a music school of Limassol affiliated with Trinity College London. There he had the chance to developed his technique on drums. He studied the technique methods of Dante Agostini, Ted Reed and George Lawrence Stone.
He holds a Postgraduate diploma in Education, Management and Leadership from OTHM, BA Music (hons) from Middlesex University, London. Teaching Licentiate Diploma (LRSL) from RSL Awards and he is an Associate of Drum kit (ATCL) from Trinity College London.
Alberto has co-ordinated with a choreographer to compose and play the drums at Blueprint (East London Dance).
Alberto is also a composer and arranger of the Drum set and percussion music . He also produces music for students to play along in a wide range of styles from Jazz to Rock.
Since 2013 he is co-ordinated with the 'imprint dancES company' to compose original pieces for choreographies.
In March 2015 he released his debut album 'T.I.M.E.' with his own perspectives. Album contains three original compositions which the two of them been performed by the 'imprint dancES company' in Thessaloniki music hall in May.
Apart from his own music he played the drums from 2013 to 2015 for the English Punk Rock band 'Sky Keepers' and together they had gigs in London.
From 2015 to 2017 and the dissolution of the band he played the drums for the POP/Rock band 'PM Project'.
In june 2016 he released with PM PROJECT an album called 'PM PROJECT UNPLUGGED'. The album is recorded live by eARmusic. In December 2016 they released their first single 'Tomorrow'.
In 2017 he crearted Performing Creations Drum Education which has aim to promote the art of drumming, inspire and motivate young and adults to do what they are passionate about. Performing Creations is run by professional artists with many years of experience in both performing and teaching.
In May 2016 Alberto launched his first book of how to learn the Darbuka. The book is called 'Darbuka in Middle East Vol.1' .
In 2018 Alberto launched his second book. The book is called 'Bongos' 5 lessons + 3 solos.
In 2019 he formed the trio The Pockets with a saxophonist, a bass player and him on the drums and they record and played music in London venues. The Pockets remains as the stage name of Alberto’s live productions.
From 2021 to 2023 he played the drums for an African Marimba group and together they toured in UK and Europe.
Alberto is currently in the studio working on his own percussion music which will be launch in 2024.
